Dorset Brewing Company was founded in 1996, when Giles Smeath restored an 800-year-old brewing tradition to the Dorset port of Weymouth in the heart of the World Heritage Coastline (the Jurassic Coast).
Set in the beautiful, historic county of Dorset, this well-loved and respected family brewery has grown in size and stature. From its humble beginnings at the historic Devenish & Groves site in Weymouth, Dorset Brewing Company (aka DBC) relocated in 2011 to Crossways and upgraded to a state-of-the-art spring water-fed brewhouse (The Jurassic Brewhouse), capable of crafting 2 million pints a year.
Striving to produce an individual product representing the very best of Dorset, DBC are leading the way with our popular Jurassic Coast brands as well as some fantastic limited edition craft ales. Our friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated team, who all have a huge passion for real ale, have worked hard to put DBC firmly on the map; establishing it as a force to be reckoned with!
