Frome Brewing Company. Distinctive beers, brewed with passion
It started with a teenager, a home brew kit and an airing cupboard. Inspired by frothy, hoppy, golden Czech beers, Rik Lyall started experimenting with hops, malts, flavours and methods. His friends loved the results. Suddenly, the airing cupboard wasn’t big enough anymore.
He begged and borrowed and found a derelict pub in Frome, with a tiny bit of brewing space. Tiny, but enough to get serious, creating beers that were different. Beers delicately and skilfully brewed, with names and pump clips that brought a smile.
People started to flock to the pub to enjoy Rik’s unique, tasty beers. Local estate agents even joked that they were driving up house prices. Suddenly, that tiny space wasn’t big enough anymore.
The Frome Brewing Company now operates from a dedicated brewery in Somerset. Still experimenting, still pouring heart and soul into every brew, our beers have blossomed into a diverse range, delivering punchy flavours, from carefully chosen ingredients.
